iMK Gets a Facelift

Ok, so we didn’t subject ourselves to reconstructive surgery, but in case you’ve been wondering why we’ve been so quiet lately, we’ve actually been very hard at work these past few weeks building you a brand new and improved website.

Why a new design?

Well, one of our primary goals behind the re-design, has been to make iMK a more pleasant and enjoyable place to consume our content. We’ve tried to make the site as user-friendly and easy to read as possible.

Some of the more apparent changes you will notice, is an overall lighter look and feel to allow our spectacular kitesurfing images and videos to take centre stage and really pop off the page. We’ve also added more white space and tried to reduce clutter wherever possible.

We also wanted a more sophisticated homepage layout, with the ability to highlight content we think will be important to you.

Oh, and we made the site completely responsive, which means you should be able to comfortably view it on any platform, from your mobile phone and iPad, to your desktop.

Of course all of these improvements are just cosmetic, and good design will always be subjective. However, we will continue to refine and improve the design over time based on feedback from our most important stakeholders, you, our readers. This is your website, and we want you to love it as much as we do.

The Best is Still to Come

This is actually just the beginning guys! The main driving force behind the redesign of our site has been to prepare it for something we believe will be a game changer in the kitesurfing industry. We can’t tell you too much about it just yet, but let’s just say that we will be taking our first step towards becoming the ultimate kitesurfing resource on the web. Nuff said…
